The BMP Manual was developed by forest contractors and operators to address the NFA's goal to improve forest practices within the NFA boundary area. The code does not describe how to carry out work on any given site, but it clearly sets standards that if followed by all contractors will ensure that work is properly planned, executed and communicated to those involved. Copies of this manual are available at a cost of $10.00 from the Nova Forest Alliance or by contacting the FPANS office.
