Welcome to Forest Products Association of Nova Scotia (FPANS) website. Thank you for visiting our site.
Message from Steve Talbot, Executive Director, FPANS

A couple of years ago the forest industry in general and our association in particular came to a significant realization. It was abundantly clear that FPANS must do a better job of educating and communicating with the public, government, media and other interested forestry stakeholders.

As a result FPANS implemented a strategic communications program geared to commencing a public dialogue on sustainable forestry in Nova Scotia. Over the past few years the association has made this initiative a top priority by dedicated specific resources to help commence and sustain this dialogue.

The creation of this new FPANS website is the latest step in this dialogue on sustainable forestry.

The site provides the most up-to-date information about our association and the forest products industry as a whole. The site is designed to provide clear factual information in a well designed and pleasant to the eye look. It is also designed for easy navigation to and from different sections of the site.

If you are looking for information about our association such as our mission statement, our priorities, membership structure and dues you will find all that pertinent information in the section entitled about FPANS.

The "Current News" section includes the latest news about FPANS, downloadable copies of Stewardship Update" our association’s quarterly newsletter, and our photo gallery, which contains some of the latest pictures of our adventures in the woods.

Our Annual Meeting information section will contain up-to-date information on our upcoming annual meeting as it becomes available as well as pictures and information on the AGM just past.

Do you have a question about forestry that needs an answer or are you wondering what FPAN’s position or policy is on a particular forestry issue? Check out the "Frequently Asked Questions" section. If you don’t find the answer to your question please email us your question and we will get the answer for you as quickly as we can.
